My call was received promptly. I was found an appointment swiftly, Dr referred to and colleagues when unsure what to do, this Dr treated my injury and handled me over to nurses for dressing, nurses fitted me in and gave me back up supplies and found me and follow up appointment in their very busy schedule and all this was professional and smile!

The doctors here are fantastic, however some of the receptionist are rude, judgemental and don't display any empathy at all. It feels you with dread when having to call for an appointment. I had a situation recently whereby I called making a simple enquiry, the receptionist spoke down to me as if I should know the answer and as I I was wasting her time, made me feel like a naughty school kid, and actually left me feeling quite angry and offended. I always hang up if this receptionist answers the phone now and wait sometimes days to get an appointment to avoid speaking with her. This has meant dispite the fantastic doctors I am desperately trying to look for another surgery in the area, however due to catchment areas it doesn't give me much hope. I most recently started resorting to calling NHS direct or waiting until I am so ill that I can get into AandE, all because of a vile are rude receptionist who thinks she knows and is better than you.

I have to commend the reception staff at the surgery for their help when my husband recently became ill. They produced a wheelchair quickly when they saw that he could not walk into the surgery. I have always found the staff helpful and pleasant, in all areas of the surgery. This includes the nurses, doctors, and reception staff. My only grumble is that it is difficult to get a telephone appointment. I find it easier by logging on and booking my appointment by internet. When one needs an appointment urgently, it is so difficult to get through by phone. It always seems to be engaged.

The GP who attended to me showed empathy professionalism, I felt comfortable at all times. At present I cannot think of anything that could be improved at present. For the past 43 years I have attended this GP practice and at any time had no cause to complain. When I could not see my GP and was always referred to another that was available and for that I am eternally grateful for when one hears of problem elsewhere I think we are lucky in this area. I guess when there is need for change it would be done in the interest of patients unless it is done by legislation sometimes beyond our control. There should also be staff in mind. Happy staff, contented patients. God bless.
